Whether or not the Teachers' Oath will ever be repealed in Massachusetts may be determined by the outcome of today's vote for reconsideration of the bill which was defeated in the House last Thursday.
It was unlikely last night that the University would take a part in an intensive lobbying campaign to swing three or four votes before the measure is brought up again on the floor. In Thursday's balloting only 12 Representatives were not present, but the Massachusetts Civic League, leaders of outside pressure for repeal were confident that they would turn the tide in today's roll call.
