Paced by Paul O. Chatfield '39 and John K. Bragg '41, Winthrop yesterday captured the inter-House Championship Boxing Tournament out-pointing Kirkland 4 to 1. The matches were exceptionally fast and the men showed good form.

In the 125 pound class Paul L. Franken '40 of Winthrop won a third round decision over Dean R. Noyes '40 of Kirkland. Chatfield scored a technical knock-out to defeat John II. Notman '41 of Kirkland in the second round of the 135 division. Bragg provided action by knocking out Hugh B. Swainbank '40 for Winthrop's second kayo.
