James J. Pettee and Stanley O. Beren Named for Duties

At a meeting in Adams House Upper Common Room last evening the following candidates were elected to membership in the Harvard Debating Council:

John B. Fisher '41; C. Bedford Johnson '39; J. David Justice '41; James S. Lanigan '39; Donald McDonald '39; Bernard Riven '40.

Johnson, Justice, and Riven all competed in inter-House debating. Lanigan, a transfer student from Georgetown University, was president of the Georgetown Debating Council. The awards were made on the basis of the competition hold Wednesday evening.
