FRANKFURTER ATTENDS TVA HEARING AFTER INDUCTION

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

As he donned his robes of office, Felix Frankfurter, former Law School professor, started the final formalities that placed him on the Supreme Court bench Monday. He was inducted into office and sat in on his first hearing.

No opposition to speak of has accompanied the appointment of the famous liberal to the bench. There was some quack opposition to President Roosevelt's appointment presented before the Senate judiciary subcommittee in the very beginning, but since then the approval of the committees and of the Senate have been given readily.

Frankfurter, the third Roosevelt appointee listened in on the Court discussion of the T. V. A., while the decisions on the Child Labor Amendment and on the Kansas City stockyard settlement were presumably delayed until the new justice can take part in the discussions.
