176 Awards Given For Fall Athletics

Mendel, Rousmsniere and Page Receive Major "H's" For Soccer

Awards of athletic insignia to 176 men who competed in fall sports were announced last night by the Committee on the Regulation of Athletic Sports.

The special major "H" in minor colors was given the Captain Howie Mendel. Art Page, and Jimmy Rousmsniere for three consecutive years on the Varsity soccer team. Twenty men received minor awards in soccer. Twenty men received minor awards in soccer and twenty nine Freshmen were given their numerals.

Included in awards in Varsity football were 22 men who were given major letters. Captain Mecdonald received the "H" for the third time it was the second time for Coleman. Hs: lett. Rosley. Lowry and Gardella Minor letters were given to 18 Varsity men and 81 Junior Varsity men. 88 Freshmen received numerals.

Major track awards want to seven men including Gene Clash and Bill Battle for the second time.
