CAST CHOSEN FOR DRAMATIC CLUB'S NEW PRODUCTION

Reta Hurley to Take Part of Glamour Girl in Musical Interpretation of New York Life

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Hunt Hamill '40 will play the leading male part in the Dramatic Club's forthcoming play, "Too Late to Laugh," L. John Profit Sp., president of the Club and production manager of the play, announced last night. He stated at the same time that Henry Urrows '38 will serve as director.

Hamill will play the part of Ronnie, a happy-go-lucky member of cafe society. A newcomer to the Club, he is a graduate of Milton Academy, where he was prominent in school dramatics. Since coming to college he has done no theatre work until now.

Urrows a Veteran

Urrows, while at Harvard, served as secretary and production manager of the Club, and produced here "Dog Beneath the Skin" and "Straight Scotch." Since graduation he has been engaged in publicity writing for various firms, including Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, and he has spent a good deal of time with the "Barnstormers," a New Hampshire stock company.

Leonard Kent '43, who received his dramatic training at Haverford School, plays the part of the stolid and dependable Henry. Guy Clements '40, a veteran of many productions of the Club, will be Joe, a Harlem Negro. His previous acting at Harvard includes leading roles in "Cannibal Carnival," "Dog Beneath the Skin," and "Jonah and the Whale."

Play About New York

Miss Reta Hurley, a graduate of the Bishop Lee School, has been chosen for the lead role of Mona, a glamour girl in the play, which is a dramatic and musical interpretation of New York City life.

Miss Helen Schuman is also included among the leading members of the cast, playing Jill, a simple Philadelphia girl. She is a past winner of the Massachusetts State Dramatic contest for her role in "Noblesse Oblige," and is at present studying dramatics at the Bishop Lee School.
