Floodlights had to be turned on for the final quarter of a hectic football battle in Tigertown last Friday as the Princeton Jayvees came from behind in a wild and wools battle to take the measure of the Crimson Junior Varsity, 15 t 13. A crowd of about 250 witnessed the contest on University field.
All of the scoring took place in a wild first half which saw the lead change hands on three different occasions. A safety scored on Crimson fullback Lothrop Withington, tackled behind his own goal line after recovering a bad pass from center in the first period, proved to be the margin of victory.
Tigers Lead at Quarter
The Tigers led 9 to 7 at the end of the first quarter but the Crimson snatched the lead from them momentarily as Shermy Hoar tallied. The Orange and Black pushed across another touchdown before the half ended, however, and clung to their two point edge until the final gun sounded.
