Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
Dick Harlow has announced his starting line for tomorrow's game, but he continues to keep his four starting backfield nominees a deep, dark secret. Weather conditions may be one reason for Crimson uncertainly in the ball-carrying spots, buy more probably the Crimson mentor wants to keep the Elis worried right up until game-time before selecting his starters from a group of six first-class backs.
Today the Yale grid camp must be quite disturbed over the various backfield combinations which resourceful Dick Harlow can fashion out of his Six versatile athletes. Bill Coleman has the blocking position sewed up, and Captain Macdonald is a strong choice for tailback.
Spreyer Needed
Charley Spreyer's kicking is essential to the Crimson so a phase will probably have to be found for him in the starting quartet. If he takes over the bucking assignment from George Heiden Joe Gardella and Fran Lee are left to contend for the wingback role. Gardella is not at top physical condition so Lee seems to have the edge here.
That, however, is but one of several possible backfield arrangements, because all of the boys are equally well at home in at least two different places. Bucker Bill Brown and quarter back Hank Vander Eb are two more good replacements so the Harvard backfield juggling this week is not a sign of weakness but one of the mystery. It does not seem possible that the continual pressure which these eight men will be able to maintain on a rather tired Eli eleven can be denied throughout 60 minutes of bruising football.
The Crimson squad will leave for Middlesex School in Concord immediately after a short workout in the Stadium today. There the last Harvard football captain who led a winning team against Yale will repeat the ritual of drinking a toast to the present grid leader. Bobby Green, captain of last year's team which won a 7 to 0 victory in New Haven, will drink to Torbie Macdonald.
Yale arrives at 12:37 o'clock today on a special train and moves into the Stadium an hour later for a brief practice session.
Captain Hammy Wood at tackle will be the mainstay of the Jayvee line ably assisted by Johnny Dimmeff at left end and Gus Soule at right guard.
