Harvard Still On Track To Reach Fossil Fuel-Neutral Status by 2026, Sustainability Report Finds
NEW HAVEN, Conn., Nov. 23--Coach Ducky Pond sent a confident band of Eli gridmen through an impressive passing drill here this afternoon. Fred Burr and Ted Harrison were landing their tosses into the arms of receiver after receiver, and Yale hopes of springing an upset on favored Harvard rose.
The Eli eleven is in tip-top physical condition and will be ready for Harvard Saturday. Even Captain Bill Stack, who was bumped in the Princeton game, is set to travel 60 minutes against the Crimson. Coach Pond's men have been in-and-outers all year long, but they are convinced that Saturday will find them at their best.
The Blue gridiron camp minimizes the threat presented by Harvard's climax runner, Captain Torbie Macdonald. The fleet Crimson back was once the greatest Worry Yale coaches had, but they reason that his effectiveness is liable to be lessened greatly by a long layoff.
Yale's practices this week have been devoted chiefly to forward passing, because there they believe a weakness has in Crimson defensive armor. Seymour and the ground game may only be an occasional threat.
