Wes Fesler's varsity basketball squad is practicing three times a week from 7:30 to 9 o'clock in preparation for the season's curtain-raiser in the Indoor Athletic Building on December 5 against M. I. T.
After the Yale football game, Fesler will be able to devote all of his time to the hoop squad, and about five more men will report at that time. At present, some 20 men are working out in the evenings. Next week afternoon drills will start.
Last year's opener with Tech, on the small floor of Hangar gym, resulted in a 29 to 24 setback for the Crimson cagemen, and they are anxious to avenge that defeat this year. M. I. T. presents a veteran quintet, but the Feslermen should be much improved over their last year's early season form.
