Crimson Delivers Annual Telephone Directory Today

Fourth Edition Goes Free to Every Undergraduate Room--Others Pay 25 Cents

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Approximately 2400 copies of the 1939-40 CRIMSON Telephone Directory will be distributed free this afternoon to every undergraduate suite in the University and to various offices in Lehman, Massachusetts, and University Halls. This is the fourth annual issue of the book.

Ever since 1636 the need for a College telephone directory has become more and more acute, especially since the invention of the telephone. So in 1936 the University's only undergraduate daily celebrated the Tercentenary by the inauguration of this vital service to the community.

A special feature of this year's edition is that it contains the numbers of instructors and tutors who have offices in the Houses, as well as those who are regularly resident there. Numbers of organizations and of public telephones in the Yard dormitories are printed on a separate page.

Students not living in College buildings and all others may obtain copies of the book for 25 cents at the CRIMSON office or at the Coop.
