SIX HEAVIES, FOUR 150'S IN FINAL RACE

Six Varsity Heavies and four Varsity 150's take to the Charles River next Wednesday in a gala regatta which will climax the Fall outdoor rowing season.

Yesterday the crews picked by the Varsity strokes had their first workouts, Wilson, Gray, Wagner, Comstock, Penneyer, and Lincoln were the strokes who drew men for the Varsity heavies while Bailey, Homans and Redmond chose their crews for the 150-lb. boats.

Comstock, with a light, fast crew is figured to win by inner rowing circles, but Anderson and Gray should give him a good fight. All the boats are remarkably even in rowing material.

More Oarsmen, Fewer Coxes

Said Bolles yesterday, "On the average this year we have more oarsmen out and fewer coxes than anytime since I've been here."

Genial Crimson crew mentor announces that final race of the season will take place next Wednesday. He has been hard at work this fall developing his material which is more plentiful than ever.

"I suppose the war has blasted all hope for an Olympic Regatta," I asked him.

"Yes, I'm afraid it has," he replied.

"What about chances for a race with some western crews?"

"I don't know; we'll have to cross that bridge when it comes."

The Varsity has been looking pretty fair this year, so has the Freshman aggregation.

Love is Noncommittal

Harvey Love is as noncommittal as ever about the prospects of his Yardling hopefuls, but he admits the crew is shaping up fairly well considering the earliness of the season.

Harvey's boys are smaller than last year's. "But then last year's weren't midgets," he says.

He is mixing them up and is looking forward to the tank practice when he expects to accomplish a lot.

Wilson's boat: Hinckley, Taylor, Whitman, Fitz, Goddard, Brooks, Stiles, Brokaw, and Hollingsworth.

Wagner's boat: Bacon, Villa, Bremer, Wilson, Roe, Blaine, Carpenter, Shortlidge, Masters, and Davies.

Anderson's boat: Stevens, Whitman, Marshall, Fowler, Spence, Miller, Streeter, Masters, and Davies.

Lincoln's boat: Herter, Riggs, Fulham, Reed, Moffatt, Marshall, Moseley, Miller, and Burr.

Bailey's boat: Elliott, Pierce, Richardson, Bodell, Fay, Koeniger, Evarts, and Larner.

Homans' boat: Cutler, Fales, Crocker, Gilchrist, Ijams, Trumbull, Locke, and Burleigh.
