Dudley, Kirkland Trim Eliot, Adams in House Football Engagements

Dudley and Kirkland went into first and second places in the House football league as the Commuters trounced Eliot 18 to 0, and the Deacons took Adams into camp by a 14 to 0 score.

Dudley's three spins and no defeats give it an undisputed hold on the lead position, while Kirkland, with two wins and a tie, has a half game edge over Winthrop's Puritans, winners of two games.

Morry Halpern, flashy 138-pound Dudley halfback, started his team along the winning path the first time they had the ball. He scored on a sensational 60-yard run.

No more scoring came until the fourth period was half over, when a 20 yard pass from Phil Richmond to Mel Avergun, and a 25 yard run by Avergun resulted in a second touchdown.

The third score came when Phil Brew, Elephant back, attempted to pass from behind his own goal line and threw the ball into the arms of Avergun, who had only to take two steps to score.

Kirkland Impressive

The Deacon eleven outplayed the Gold Coasters all along the line, blocking up their plunges and end runs, and intercepting one pass for a score.
