Hollywood answered the Harvard Lampoon this week. The Lampoon had selected "All This and Heaven Too" as "the worst ordeal of the year"; the last five minutes of "The Great Dictator" as "the worst scene of the year"; Henry Fonda's work in "The Return of Frank James" as "the worst performance of the year"; and Jane Withers (with Mickey Rooney) as "the most obnoxious child of the year."

The Academy of Motion Picture arts and Sciences nominated "All This and Heaven Too" and "The Great Dictator" for the best production award for 1940, and Henry Fonda (for his work in "The Grapes of Wrath") for the best performance award. And twentieth Century-Fox signed Miss Withers to a new seven-year contract. -The New York Times
