13 NEW APPOINTMENTS TO FACULTY ANNOUNCED

Six Go to Medical School; School of Education Gets Four Including One Chinese Ex-Official

Thirteen appointments to the faculty were announced today, as follows:

Eugene Shen, professor at University of Chekiang, Hankow, China, former Director of Educational Research for National Association for Advancement of Chinese Education, appointed Lecturer on Educational Measurement for one year from February 1, Graduate School of Education.

Friedrich E. Machlup-Wolf, professor of Economics at University of Buffalo, appointed Visiting Lecturer on Economics, second half of 1938-39.

Walter A. Staub, accountant, New York City, appointed Dickinson Lecturer at Business School for current year.

At Medical School: William W. Sargant, of Boston, Research Fellow in Psychiatry, for current academic year; Charles L. Fox, Jr., of Boston, Research Fellow in Bacteriology, to September 1, 1939; Albert, M. Moloney, of Boston, Assistant in Roentgenology, to September 1, 1939; James S. Mansfield, of Boston, Assistant in Medicine, to September 1, 1939; Chia-Tung Tong, of Boston, Research Fellow in Medicine, to September 1, 1939; William M. Hammon, of Brookline, Instructor in Epidemiology, July 1 to September 1, 1939, at Medical School and School of Public Health.

At Graduate School of Education: for second half of 1938-39; Louis C. Zahner, now head of Department of English at Groton School, Lecturer on the Teaching of English; Ernest B. Walston, of Cambridge, Assistant in Education; Wilbur F. Murrs, of Cambridge, Instructor in Education.
