FRESHMAN POLO TEAM MEETS AVON OLD FARMS

Varsity Playing Jayvees in Armory Saturday Evening; Loss of Burrage, Lewis, Severe

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Freshman Polo team open its season next Saturday at Avon Old Farms School, while the Varsity faces off against the Jay Vees in the Common-wealth Armory.

Captain Chester E. Sargent, the coach, hopes for a win over Avon, even though the team will play on strange ponies. At the Armory, both teams will be hampered by the absence of players. The Varsity lost a hard fought game against the Satirev team in its opener, 14-13, and since then has had only one practice.

Jack Lewis Missing

What might have been a very good Varsity triumvirate, is missing Jack Lewis, last year's ranking number one, through sickness; and the Jay Vees, with Wilson and Burrage ineligible, are only a fair aggregation.

At Avon the line-up will probably be: Hughes, number one, White, number two, and Higgins, number three.

Pro-game lineup at the Armory: VARSITY  JAYVEES Capt. Forbes, No. 1  Schall, No. 1 G. Dillingham, No. 2  D. Dillingham, No. 2 Rumsey, No. 3  Stabler, No. 3
