Richard M. Gummere, Director of Admissions, outlined the problems of the college in admitting new students in a radio address last night.

"The good American college has abandoned the 'take-it-or-leave-it' policy of the last century, and it believes in a wise sympathetic selection of those who will profit by its offerings," Mr. Gummere said in summarizing the attitude taken by most colleges on the admissions problem.
