A Fred Waring show, in addition to the usual Christmas trip is to be featured this year by the Instrumental Clubs, local dispensers of harmony and hotcha.

The clubs, which include the Banjo Club, Mandolin Club, Vocal Club, specialty groups, and the Goldcoast Orchestra, will unite in presenting, before the winter recess, a vaudeville show to be played at Cambridge, Salem and New York. Out of the 100 members of the clubs, 48 will make the annual Christmas trip to Buffalo, Detroit, Milwaukee, and elsewhere, for the first five days of vacation.

Trials Next Week

President John H. Pierpont 38 Vice-President James Mixter '40, Secretary-treasurer David Wilder '39, and Manager Howard Turner '40 announce trials for Freshmen beginning Monday and Tuesday. A new policy of choosing members for the Christmas trip on the basis of faithfulness and ability is to be inaugurated this year.

In urging Yardlings to display their musical skills for the clubs, President Pierpont stressed the concerts to be given at girls' college, informality, and "damn good fun" as valid reasons for new men to join.
