SCHOLARS FROM EUROPE TO TEACH ON FACULTY

BRUENING TO GIVE COURSE ON CONTROL OF INDUSTRY

Many distinguished visiting scholars from universities in America and abroad are coming here this year, it has been announced.

Among the noted Europeans to be present in Cambridge are the Very Reverend Walter R. Matthews, Dean of St. Paul's London; Sigfried Giedlon, Swiss art historian and a leading figure in modern architecture: Kai Linderstrom-Lang, professor at the Carlsberg Laboratorium, Copenhagen, one of the world's leading research workers in histochemistry; and Richard W. Southwell, professor of Engineering, Brasenose College, Oxford.

The Very Reverend Dr. Matthews will be William Belden Noble Lecturer at the Harvard Divinity School. Professor Linderstrom-Lang will be Edward K. Dunham Lecturer at the Harvard Medical School. Dr. Giedion will be Charles Eliot Norton Professor of Poetry, delivering a series of public lectures at Harvard next spring.

Of the foreign scholars three are from England, two from Germany, and one each from Switzerland, Russia, and Denmark.

Morris R. Cohen, professor in the philosophy department of the College of the City of New York, is among the visiting scholars from American universities. Kurt Goldstein, head of the Neurophysiological and Psychopathological laboratory of Monteflore Hospital, New York City, will be William James Lecturer on Philosophy and Psychology. At the Law School will be Philip C. Jessup, professor of International Law, Columbia University; and Andrew J. Casner, associate professor of Law, University of Illinois.
