Harvard Students To Vote on Divestment From Israel in Inaugural HUA Election Survey
James M. Landis, dean of the Law School here, stepped into Cambridge politics during the summer as chairman of the "Cambridge Committee for Plan E", purpose of which is to bring about the city manager form of government as exemplified in Cincinnati.
Former head of the Securities and Exchange Commission, the 38-year-old Landis came to Harvard to head the Law School last fall.
Declearing that he would undoubtedly be "bucked by professional politicians", Landis said that as "a resident and property owner in Cambridge" he expected to speak at meetings in the fall on behalf of his plan.
