M.I.T RIOTERS WILL FACE COURT TRIAL TOMORROW

CAMBRIDGE, MASS (Wednesday--UP)--Six Massachusetts Institute of Technology students, who pleaded not guilty yesterday to charges arising from a riot Monday night, face trial tomorrow in district court. They were released in total bail of $400 raised by classmates.

Those arraigned were William R. Haseltine, Otto Arnold, Arthur L. Weinberger, Barrett L. Taft, Harry Sedgwick and Frederick Ergos.

All were charged with disturbing the peace. Sedgwick was charged also with assault after Patrolman William Anderson was sent to a hospital with a bitten finger, while Arnold was charged with larcency of Anderson's hat.

The students arrested allegedly interfered when police arrived in front of the dormitory from the roof of which water filled bags were hurled to the street below. During the two-hour raid, new supplies were handed to the marksmen by students in fifth floor windows. Several hundred students on the ground cheered each bomb reaching its mark.

Traffic had to be rerouted and witnesses said several motorists temporarily lost control of their cars when water spattered over the windshields.
