BEER CAN DERBY BROKEN UP FOR CREATING DISTURBANCE

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The annual Beer Can Derby was held yesterday over the traditional Mt. Auburn, Plympton Street course. Although the winner's title was disputed. Pabst seemed to have the loudest loyal support and was the favorite from the first.

The racing technique in this classic of beer can races is a combination of the kick and roll. Rheingold beer caused a lot of trouble at the starting line and much confusion by continually running into the gutter.

Police soon called the derby to a halt, as the spectators' excitement was endangering the quiet of a New England Sunday evening.
