BROOM JUGGLER ACTS BEFORE CHEERING THAYER THRONG

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

"The idea just come to me suddenly a couple days ago," stated Norman Hapgood '41 who in the presence of a cheering crowd of forty, accomplished the feat last night of going out of a room on the fourth floor of Thayer, walking down four flights, and up again balancing a broom on his chin, to win a bet of two and a half dollars.

"I practiced all day yesterday and this afternoon. This was the first time that I did it without dropping it. All you need is practice and a lot of it," he explained.

Hapgood stressed the fact that at times he had to get down on his stomach and perform various other dexterities in order to get through doors and around corners.
