In a snappy mid-week workout the Varsity oarsmen nipped the Freshman crew by half a length rowing upstream yesterday over the mile and three-quarters stretch.
Some four lengths behind followed the Jayvees, third Varsity, and Second Freshmen, all within a length of each other. The Thirds and the Yardling seconds had been given a three length handicap.
