Undefeated in five league matches, the Crimson golf team clinched undisputed possession of the Northern Division championship last weekend at Williamstown.
On Friday the Hodder coached team swamped Holy Cross 7-2, and Saturday morning in the closest match this year edged Williams 5-4. In the final encounter Saturday afternoon, the Crimson broke the Elis' 10 year hold on first place by trouncing them 7-2.
Henry Thompson, Tony MacGowan, Jack Barr, Bob Sides, Bill Cordingley, and Bob Graves played Friday, while Ed Peterson replaced Thompson and played two in both of Saturday's matches.
Williams and Harvard were tied at 4 1/2 points apiece Saturday and Barr and Sides played an extra hole with two Williams men for best ball to determine the match. Barr sank a long putt for a birdie on the 19th for the Harvard victory.
