CONSPIRATORS TEST FACIAL EXTENT OF MEMORIAL CLOCK

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

A group of conspirators led by Miss Ann Fisher, comely secretary in Robinson Hall, recently completed the second attack on Memorial Hall in as many weeks, climbing the heights of the clock tower to measure the diameter of the face of the clock.

"We all had spring fever," explains Miss Fisher ruefully, "and we had nothing to do, so we just decided to measure the clock."

Further questioning revealed that 12 persons affiliated with the School of design had contributed one dollar apiece to a pool, each making a guess as to the clock's diameter. Arthur Malsin, Yale '35, won the $11 with a guess of 15 feet, which proved to be correct when two of the students of architecture emerged directly above the time-piece and measured it with a six-foot rule.
