Revealed last night was a split, which occured Tuesday, among the ranks of the Student Union. The break, between the officers of the Union and certain liberal elements, was the result of the stand taken by H. S. U. delegates to the Vassar Convention in December, which was repudiated last week by a vote of 73 to 59.
The Harvard delegation to Poughkeepsie virtually originated the "Resolution on Peace" now discredited by the local chapter. The articles of the Resolution most opposed were those advocating "international collaboration," urging a Japanese boycott and embargo, and supporting the Ludlow Amendment.
