P.B.K. MEN CHOOSE JUNIOR EIGHT FOR ACADEMIC HONORS

Winners of one of Harvard's chief undergraduate academic honors, eight Juniors were elected to Phi Beta Kappa last night at the first award of the key for members of the Class of 1939.

After dinner in Adams House the 24 Senior members of the Harvard chapter and four or five Faculty guests adjourned to the Upper Common room where election took place under the chairmanship of Arthur M. Schlesinger, Jr. '38, first marshal of the chapter.

The men elected, their residences, and one of their extra-curricular activities, are:

Harold Brown, of Dorchester, a member of the Advocate.

Robert M. Bunker, of West Roxbury and Winthrop House, a member of the Lampoon.

William N. Chambers, of St. Louis and Winthrop House, a member of the Guardian.

Lawrence F. Ebb, of Dorchester and Lowell House, an officer of the Debating Council.

Irving M. London, of Malden, and an officer of Avukah.

Allen E. Puckett, of Chicago and Eliot House.

Royal S. Schaaf, of Newark and Lowell House, a member of the Guardian.

James Tobin, of Champaign, Illionois and Lowell House, a member of the Guardian.

At a formal meeting, probably next month, the new men will be inducted.
