Thoron Starts Six Week Competition For Sophomores Monday

The annual Sophomore competition for baseball manager, six weeks in duration, will open Monday afternoon, when candidates are expected to report to the Varsity Manager, S. W. Gray Thoron '38, at Soldiers Field.

The winner of the competition will become the second assistant manager this season, first assistant next year, and head manager as a Senior. In addition the successful candidate will accompany the team on its spring trip in '39 and '40.
