Featured by Frank Powers' heart-breaking loss in the 220 to Snyder, of Yale, in the excellent time of 2:19.7, the Freshmen natators lost to the Elis, 47 to 28. Clocked in 2:29.8, Paul Metcalfe, Blue breastroker, broke his own National Intercollegiate Freshman record for the event. The Crimson mermen were best in the backstroke, as Captain Art Bosworth and Charlie Moore took first and second, and in the quarter-mile, when Lon Stowell and Bob White placed one and two.
