For the first time in many years, 15 leading undergraduate organizations will back a mass peace demonstration to be held on April 27, it was revealed yesterday. For the first time also the Student Union will not be the sole sponsor of the affair.
Plans for the demonstration were made known after a meeting, at which officially or unofficially the various groups were represented. A call will be sent out to all student extra-curricular organizations, including Freshman, to join the movement and send delegates to the council of directors.
Representation on the general committee will be in proportion to the size and importance of any group which agrees to lend its support, it was announced. The executive council will be made up of five men on whose shoulders the management of the affair will fall.
