Hoopmen Must Tame Lions to Stay in League Fight

Following Saturday night's setback by Pennsylvania, the Crimson Basketball team must tonight defeat Columbia in order to stay in the league championship battle. The Feslermen are scheduled to face the Lions at 8:40 o'clock at New York.

When the two teams last met February 19 at the Indoor Athletic Building, a second half rally successfully subdued the Columbia five 86-31. On a foreign floor and immediately after the tough loss to the Quakers, the Crimson may falter tonight, but because of its past record is a slight favorite.

Can Tie Or Top Dartmouth

At present Dartmouth still leads the league with seven wins against two losses, while Harvard has five victories and three defeats. By triumphing over Columbia tonight and then tripping Yale, Princeton, and Dartmouth, Coach Wes Fesler's quint can at least tie and perhaps top the Indian in the circuit standings.

After returning from the Penn tilt Sunday, the Crimson must go back as far as New York for tonight's game and then after a short stay here rush to Princeton Saturday. Undoubtedly this constant traveling will prove a handicap to the title seeking Cantabs.

Lowman, Lutz Ready

While George Lowman and Charlie Lutz were hampered Saturday by injuries, the two regular forwards will probably be ready for action today. Because of their performances in the last few games, Arnie Litman and Fred Backel will also see considerable service on the front line.
