In a closely fought match, the Crimson fencers were defeated by Hartford at Hartford, Connecticut, Saturday, 14 1/2 to 12 1/2.

Hartford took two of the three weapons, winning the foil 5 to 4 and the epee 6 1/2 to 2 1/2. The Crimson fencers won the sabre 6 to 3.
