Strings Attached: How Harvard’s Wealthiest Alumni Are Reshaping University Giving
Showing how the Harvard Student Council differs from organizations of the same name at other colleges, Richard B. Sullivan '39, president of the Student Council, addressed the New England Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools in Boston Saturday.
Sullivan told the educators how the Council has helped the University to formulate its policies in the last 25 years. He cited as examples such work as the report on the tutorial system in 1928 and the analysis of the University budget.
As an important element in the work of the Council, Sullivan pointed out the cooperation which has always existed between the faculty and the Council committees. He especially praised the work of the Debating Council, the Student Union, and the CRIMSON.
