Freshman, Missing From College Since Thursday, Still Unreported

Missing since Thursday when he packed up and left college, the wherabouts of Robert Isaac Myerson '42 of Wigglesworth Hall and Brooklyn, New York, were still unknown last night.

In a letter to his father, Joseph G. Myerson, the boy, who was in good standing, said he didn't like college and was going out to find work. Last night Mr. Myerson said that he wanted his son to know that his family are in complete agreement with his plans and want him to communicate with them.

On Thursday his roommates, who had seen little of him, noticed he was absent from classes and communicated with university officials. On that same day, Myerson had gone to see a friend of his father's in Boston, and he has not been seen since.

Elaborate Preparations

He had made elaborate preparations for his departure, selling his trumpet, books, blankets, and other personal possessions, but leaving a spread over his bare bed. He had also drawn out considerable money from his checking account.

When last seen he was wearing a reversible coat and brown felt hat, and he wears very heavy glasses with steel rims. He stands 5 feet 8 inches high and weighs 140 pounds.

At the Polytechnic Preparatory Country Day School in Brooklyn, where he prepared, his principal interests were Dramatics and Photography; while this fall he has done work for Phillips Brooks House, where he was on the Freshman and Social Service Committees.
