Rifle Clubbers Outshoot Naval Science Gun Outfit

Score 859 Points Out of 1000 Against Sailors' 818

In the first of the traditional shooting matches between the Rifle Club and the Naval Science rifle team, the Rifle Club won by a score of 859 to 818 out of 1000 possible points.

High scorer for both teams was Irving Clark '39, of the Rifle Club with 189 out of 200. Prone and standing were the two positions used in the meet.

The next marksmanship event will be a match between the Naval Science team and the Marine team from the Navy Yard on Monday, and on Tuesday evening the Rifle Club meets a team from the Maintenance Department.
