Garber Privately Tells Faculty That Harvard Must Rethink Messaging After GOP Victory
Wes Fesler's hoopmen will be out after their second victory of the season on the Indoor Athletic Building floor tonight at 8:45 o'clock as they play host to the undefeated Brown Bruins, who have trampled over their alumni, Clark, and Connecticut State by top-heavy scores thus far this year.
Coach Wes Fesler will undoubtedly stand pat on the quintet which rallied to gain the great victory over Northeastern's Huskies, 31 to 26. This means that Charley Lutz and Fred Heckel will be at the forwards, Homer Peabody at center, while Lupe Lupien and Sam White will hold down the guard positions.
Rumi Promoted
Tread Ruml has been promoted from the Jayvees to the Varsity as a result of his fine performance against the Roxbury Boy's Club. This gives the team a capable substitute at either center or guard. For the first time this year Charley Lutz will go into a game in tip-top shape. Even in the Northeastern clash his ankle injury gave him some trouble.
The other side of the picture is that Coach Eck Allen is bringing a highly promising Brown quintet to Cambridge led by the sensational Harry Platt at forward. Jack Padden, a Sophomore, will probably get the call at the other forward post over the ailing "Soup" Campbell.
Loaded for Bear
Captain George Truman at guard is the only other veteran, because Sophomores Bob Person and Tank Wilson have ousted Seniors Giles MacEwen and Bill Glatfelder from the center and guard jobs respectively. The Bears will present a tall crew tonight, and again the Feslermen will have to operate under a height disadvantage. The game is scheduled to get under way at about 8:45 o'clock.
'42 Cagers Face Brown
Skip Stahley's Yardling five takes the floor in the Indoor Athletic Building at 7:15 o'clock this evening shooting for its third victory in as many starts in a game with the Brown Freshmen.
The Yardling starters will be Maurice Rice, Red Navin, Jack Penson, Ed Buckley, and Joe Romano. Other Freshmen are certain to see much service, however, because Stahley has not yet had the opportunity to test his men thoroughly.
