COMMITTEE POLLS OUT-OF-HOUSE MEN

To 250 undergraduates now living out of Houses, but who have at some time in the past applied for admission to one, today go questionnaires from the Council Committee on Houses asking for an expression of preference for one of two possible temporary solutions for the present situation: the "associate member" plan, and a plan for a common dining room for out-of-House men.

In regard to the first plan, the information blank notes that at best it would accommodate only half the "over-flow." Recipients of the questionnaires are also asked whether, regardless of preference, they would use a common dining room if one were provided.

Other information called for includes class, school, House applied for, rank list at time of application, and maximum price offered for room. This material will be used in a study of the present admissions system.

The committee will hold office hours in Adams D-28 from 2 to 3:30 o'clock this afternoon.
