Successor to Christian in Harvard Medical Service Job

Dr. Soma Weiss, associate professor of Medicine in the Medical School, has been appointed Physician-in-Chief of the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in Boston, Dr. C. Sidney Burwell, Dean of the School, announced today.

He succeeds Dr. Henry A. Christian in this post, which is one of the most important of the teaching services.

The hospital is one of the 14 in Boston which are associated with the Medical School. Weiss has been on the Faculty since 1925 and in especially noticed for his work on heart diseases and blood vessels.
