At its first meeting of the year last night, the Slavic Circle presented the Soviet film "Chapayev" before a capacity crowd in the Winthrop House Common Room. Preceding the showing of the film Ernest J. Simmons of the Slavie department spoke briefly on the life of Chapayev and the significance of the movie in the development of Soviet cinema.
