In an attempt to put Yardling intramural athletics on a permanent basis after the experimental program of tennis and soft ball last spring, a Freshman athletic council has been set up. A touch football league will get into action this week.
The program will be expanded in the winter to include basketball and volley ball. Yardling participants will get credit towards fulfilling the compulsory exercise requirements.
Personnel of the newly formed committee is as follows: William Green (Weld); Frank Donaldson (Grays); Edwin Wood (Mathews); William Merg (Hollis); Frank Power (Stoughton); H. P. Steeper (Thayer); Peter Macgowan (Straus); Nathan Young (Wigglesworth).
