INVESTIGATION OF PLAN E FAILS AT COUNCIL MEETING

The Cambridge City Council's plan to investigate Plan E and its backers went awry last night as several members of the committee running the city manager campaign refused to testify at a Council meeting.

President Thomas N. McNamara forestalled the attempt of George A. McLaughlin, Plan E's counsel, to make a statement, by saying "in the absence of Dean Landis we don't want to hear from anyone."
