Starting off the New Year in superb style the Varsity C team blanked The Union Boat Club Blues yesterday afternoon 5 to 0. At the same time the Freshman C team dropped a close match 3 to 2 against the Neighborhood Club.
In the Varsity match J. Wood (H) defeated Williams: 15-6, 15-12, 16-15; W. Williams (B) defeated J. Ames: 15-7, 8-15, 15-12, 15-11; C.D. Ladd (H) defeated R. Beogevin: 13-15, 15-12, 15-9, 15-12; D.W. Shean (H) defeated Knapp: 12-15, 15-11, 15-8, 15-10; W. Wood (B) defeated Carmant: 15-12, 15-5, 16-14.
Next on the program for Varsity Team C is a match on Thursday, January 13, with Newton Y.M.C.A. On the same date Freshman C Team faces the University Club Blues at Boston.
Varsity Team A will see action for the first time this year when it faces the Union Boat Club Whites on Tuesday, January 11. On the following day Varsity Team B takes on M.I.T.
