Freshmen Conquer University Club Blues By Same Margin
In two separate matches yesterday the Varsity C team vanquished the Newton Y.M.C.A. on the University Courts to the tune of 4 to 1 and the Freshmen C team conquered the University Club Blues by the same score on the club Courts.
In the Varsity match W. Williams (H) defeated H. Ladd (H): 15-6, 15-11, 17-18, 16-17, 15-8; D.W. Shean (H) defeated W. I. Baker: 12-15, 13-15, 18-14, 15-13, 15-13; W. Wood (H) defeated A. Jacobs: 15-8, 10-15, 16-18, 15-8, 15-5; R. W. Sides (H) defeated M. McKinnon: 15-8, 15-4, 18-13.
In the Freshman match D. Ladd (H) defeated R. B. Cattell: 15-6 19-6, 15-6; L. P. Marvin (H) defeated H. Levin: 15-11, 12-15, 15-11, 15-3; C. Stern (H) defeated W. H. Schaffer: 15-16, 15-9, 17-14, 12-15, 18-16; L. Vaschon defeated N. R. Gidding (H); 15-8, 15-7, 11-15, 13-17; J. Glidden (H) defeated P. Urbens: 15-6, 15-11, 17-16.
