Evening courses for adults, giving instruction in conversational French and in Spanish, open tomorrow evening in Sever Hall, under the auspices of the Commission on Extension Courses.
The practice class in speaking French will be conducted by Louis J. A. Mercier, Associate Professor of French and Education. Wednesday and Fridays throughout the year Guillermo Rivers, Assistant Professor of Spanish, will give both the Spanish courses Tuesday and Friday evenings, in Sever Hall.
Next week, the Commission will hold first meetings of seventeen other courses in nearly every broad field of university study, including astronomy, American Literature, Shakespeare, English composition, elementary Psychology, German, operatic and symphonic music, modern painting, America economic history, and the development of the American constitution.
