Opening gun of what bids fair to be he biggest and best year of House sports was fired yesterday afternoon when Adolph W. Samborski, director of Intramural Athletics, called the first meeting of the eight House secretaries.
Under the system inaugurated this year, the House secretaries will receive compensation for their task of marshalling the members of the Houses to enter sports, and Director Samborski stressed the fact that a room-to-room canvass of all House members must be made in order to determine in what direction sport sympathies lie.
Yesterday's meeting formed a sort of prelude to the first meeting of the Inter-House Athletic Committee, which, due to the fact that the House Master to be present has not yet been chosen, will not be held until next week.
