Harvard Students To Vote on Divestment From Israel in Inaugural HUA Election Survey
Many men have fought their way through Harvard under adverse conditions. Among cases that have recently come to light is that of Ralph L. Thompson '38, of Woburn, who is going to be selling magazine subscriptions this Fall. At first sight few would realize that Thompson, a regularly enrolled Senior, is blind. He does not want a dog to aid him because he feels that there would be no point in getting around if he could not get around by himself.
Resident at Perkins Institute, Larry, as he is known to friends at Phillips Brooks House, walks every morning a half mile to the street car which he boards for Harvard Square. This is during term time. In Summer he operates a small turkey farm in Woburn.
Academically Thompson is interested chiefly in governmental and economic problems, agricultural marketing, for example. All the work that is to be done in his courses he does. Last year he had a tutor. Regularly readers work with him in P.B.H.
