SPAIN AMBULANCE FUND $1200 OVERSUBSCRIBED

Total of $2700 Has Been Contributed; Ambulance Is Being Shipped Abroad This Week

Nearly double the amount required has been gathered to finance the Harvard Ambulance in Spain, it was announced by W. Tucker Dean '37 yesterday. A total of $2700 has been raised, compared with the $1500 required.

The Ambulance will be shipped this week, and the additional $1200 is being sent to the Medical Bureau headquarters to be used for sundry medical equipment.

Dr. Walter B. Cannon, Higginson Professor of Physiology at the Medical School and chairman of the Medical Bureau, issued the following statement:

"I wish to express my very deep appreciation of the quick insight of the faculty members and students into the dire need of the wounded men who have fought for the legitimate government of Spain against Fascism."
