SCHOLARSHIPS WON BY 2 FRESHMEN FOR WORK

Swain Takes Whitaker Prize for Best Scholastic Ability and Promise for Future

Outstanding scholarship awards in recognition of high honor work have been made to Charles G. Swain, of Wollaston, Mass., and Dion J. J. Archon, of Lynn, Mass., both Freshmen.

Swain has won the Edwards Whitaker Prize Scholarship awarded annually at midyears to the Freshman who shows "the most outstanding scholastic ability and intellectual promise as indicated by distinction in studies and general achievement."

Archon has been awarded a Parmenter Scholarship, assigned to "Freshmen who have high honor records." He prepared for Harvard at Sparta High School, Sparta, Greece.
