Jumbos Pound Three Crimson Pitchers for Surprise Victory

Tufts Upsets Erratic Mitchellmen in 11-5 Sloppy Contest

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Pounding three Crimson pitchers for 11 hits, the Tufts nine yesterday surprised the favored Crimson batters, returning from Soldiers Field to Medford on the long end of an 11-5 score.

With a three run burst of scoring in the first of the third at the expense of the starting Varsity twirler, Royal Victor, the Jumbos took an early lead which was never threatened.

Al Galuska went the route for the visitors, allowing the Mitchellmen but six blows, tiring in the last two frames, when four Crimson scores crossed the plate.
